Foodzone for iPhone and Android is a personal diary for your phone. It uses the same account and the same diary as the website, so anything you log on one shows up on the other straight away.
Get the app
Search for Foodzone on the App Store on iPhone, or on Google Play on Android, and install it. The app is free. Your plan is the same one you have on the website.
Create an account or sign in
There is no password. Foodzone emails you a 6-digit code each time you sign in.
- Open the app. Tap Create account if you are new, or Sign in if you already use Foodzone on the web.
- Enter your email. New accounts also ask for your name.
- On Check your email, type the code. It expires after 10 minutes. If it has not arrived after 30 seconds, tap Resend code.
If you see Code expired or Too many attempts, tap Resend code and use the new one. You stay signed in on the phone until you choose Sign out on the You tab.
Set up your profile
The first time you sign in on a new account, the app asks a few questions so it can work out your targets:
- Did a health professional send you? If you tap Yes, you can enter their email to share your diary with them right away, or Skip for now. See Share your diary from your phone.
- About you: sex, date of birth, height and weight.
- Activity: choose the level that best matches your week. Activity level guide explains each one.
- Your starting targets shows your daily energy and macro split. Tap Start logging to open your diary.
If you already completed your profile on the website, the app skips these steps. You can change any of them later under You, then Profile.
Updates
Sometimes the app tells you Update Foodzone to continue. This means the version on your phone is too old to talk to Foodzone. Tap Update Foodzone, install the new version, and open the app again. Your diary is safe on the server throughout.
A smaller Update available card means a newer version exists but the one you have still works. You can Dismiss it.
