Deleting your account removes you and your data from Foodzone. It is not the same as cancelling a paid plan — see Cancel your subscription if you only want to stop paying and keep your diary on the free plan.

Before you start

  • If you own a Team workspace, deleting your account closes the team. Members lose access to it and to any diaries they kept inside it. Their own accounts and personal workspaces are not affected.
  • If you have an active paid plan, it is cancelled as part of deletion. You will not be charged again.

Delete your account

  1. Open Settings and select Delete your account.
  2. Read what will be deleted and what stays.
  3. Type your account email to confirm, then select Delete.

Your account is closed straight away: you are signed out on every device and cannot sign in. If you try, or try to create a new account with the same email, Foodzone tells you the account was deleted and how to get it back. Your workspace goes with it immediately. Members can no longer open it, and anyone you shared a profile with can no longer see it. Nothing is deleted yet, and nothing is sent by email, to you or to them. Telling members is up to you.

What is deleted

After 30 days, all of this is permanently removed and cannot be recovered:

  • Your profile and personal details
  • Every diary entry, note, exercise and measurement
  • Custom foods and recipes, including any photos you added to them
  • Saved sets
  • Food suggestions that are still under review, including their photos
  • Your workspace, personal, professional or team, with everything in it
  • Your contributor rewards

What stays

Foods and photos you suggested that were accepted into the public food database stay, because other people are already using them. Your name is removed from them. The same applies to photos you added to someone else's suggestion once it was accepted.

Changed your mind?

You have 30 days. Email help@foodzone.io from the address on the account, or use the contact page, and ask for it back. We reactivate it, and your diary, foods and settings are exactly as you left them; your workspace reopens for members and shared viewers. Signing in does not undo the deletion, and you cannot create a new account with that email in the meantime. A cancelled paid plan is not restarted; choose a plan again from Settings once you are back.

After 30 days the deletion is final and there is nothing left to restore. The email is then free to start a new account.
